Hi all! I just stumbled across this site while trying to find information about GM trucks. I am starting to shop for a truck...looking to replace my 2004 Chevy Malibu. I need a vehicle that can be an occasional family hauler (I'm married and have three kids, ages 11, 5, and 1). If anybody has any recommendations regarding the Sierra and Silverado, I would appreciate it.

Welcome!!!

I guess your gonna' need either an extended or a crew-cab huh? The crew-cab might be the way to go for the extra room it has compared to the extended-cab.

Welcome!

I would second the comment about the crew cab....much easier getting in/out with the 3 kids. ;)

Welcome from Idaho. If it is to be your primary vehicle I recommend the crew cab. Occasional vehicle extended cab. A 2500 would be my first choice as it would more versatile than a 1500 if you haul a camper or boat. I'd rather have more truck than I need.

Welcome, and I would definetely say go for the Crew Cab. I have 2 kids, can't imagine trying to deal with three in the Extended Cab I used to have....Oh yeah and go for the Sierra...

Thanks for the welcome! I have been leaning towards the Crew Cab for the extra room. I haven't gone out to check one out yet, just researching and learning everything I can before I go. Not to offend any of you Silverado fans, but I prefer the looks of the Sierra, so everything else being equal I would go with a Sierra, but would still consider a Silverado if I can't find a Sierra that meets my needs. :pimp:
