I Have A Repo Question

So here’s the deal, I live in an apartment and there is a 09 Malibu that has been parked since November of last year. Whoever owns it moves it every couple weeks from one parking spot to another so that it will not get towed by the apartments; they also back it up against a bush so you can’t see the rear plate. This car is trashed, it has 2 flat tires and the windows have been down about an inch and the seats and floors are full of water and mold. The apartment staff has run the plate to see if it was a stolen car or something, but it came back clean. The only other thing I can think of is they are not paying on it and the repo guys are looking for it. Is there a way I can find out if a particular car has a repo order based on the VIN? I know mind my own damn business, but parking can and is a problem especially if you try parking after 6pm, and I’m not a fan of my wife walking from the opposite end of the property at 12-2 in the morning when she gets home.

I'd say talk to the land lord. Voice your concerns and see what he/she has to say.

No clue, but I have a similar car at my apartment complex. It's an 80 something Plymouth acclaim with shredded tires. It's been parked in the same spot for over a year and the apartment complex is too lazy to do anything about it. It's parked really shitty too, on the line on one side and sticking out into the lot.

I might take that tow strap idea. Move it out of it's spot so it's blocking shit then they'll have to do something with it.

I have talked to the apartment folks and they can't do much since it's a resident and it does get moved. They go out and tag it to be towed, but they give it 24 hours before they call the tow company. The resident goes and moves it before then. I will try and see if I can figure out a local repo company.

Screw it, I'm back to minding my own damn business. I called 4 local repo companies and each of them told me that I would need to find out who the finance company is and they would be able to help.
