Bg Power Steering Flush

First of all, I'm embarassed that I didn't do this service by myself. Having said that, I paid 139 bucks to have this service done (power steering flush) and I was rather impressed that my power steering is quieter (didn't sound bad before, just whooshing noises when I would turn the wheel). Have 106k on her so, maybe it was time. I'm just a little worried about the "flush" chemicals they supposedly use.

I don't like those chemical flushes. They conned me into that at Jiffy Lube or something on my El Camino "look you have sludge" I wasn't thinking at the time. Well I went to check on it, they had the engine running with their "cleaner" in the engine and the pressure guage barely read any pressure. I jumped in and turned the engine off. Never again, because I do my own oil changes. That can't be good for the engine, less than 5 psi oil pressure.

For what it is worth I think BG chemicals are high quality...

Yeah, I just didn't feel like disconnecting hoses, etc. No way in heck I would take my truck to a Jiffy Lube.
