Suspension Work

Ok, I do alot of work on cars in my garage. Well Wednesdat night I did some work for a "brother" of mine. Upper and lower ball joints, Upper control arm bushings, and inner and outer tie-rods on both sides. Yes he needs an alignment now, thats why I did the work. I always under-charge for my work and guarantee my labor. I never really give a price when I do work. I always say pay me what you think it's worth. He paid me $180 and it took me about 3.5 hours to do. Would have taken less time, but I didn't have a compressor yet.Parts alone my cost would have been about $700. He bought the tie rods and bushings, but I was able to get the ball joints for free.

What would yall have charged? If anything? It's an 99 Ram 1500 2WD.

For that truck I have already done a front brake job (rotors, pads, seals, and bearings). For their other car, 07 Jeep Liberty,I have already replaced two window regulators (RR and LR) and the RR door window fixed window.

EDIT: I have also redone the rear brakes and replaced the master cylinder on the Ram

Depends how close you and your "brother" are. Maybe a few hundred bucks, but probably enough beer to keep me going through the job, and dinner after.

Felix,

Not a bad deal for both of you. :)

You made a few bucks...he got his truck fixed and he got a heck of a deal...getting the 4 ball joints for free.

I would think that everybody should be pretty happy with it.
