Mechanical Fan--to--electric Fan Experiences

If you want an awesome fan that will pull the air you require look at SPAL fans. They will do the job no prob. You can get one that will cool your turck for around 150 or so. Just my .02 cents

hello, new to the forum. i'm also interested in an e fan conversion. i have a '96 GMC Z71. little to no mods: K&N air filter(didn't do a cold air set up it is expensive for just about a foot of pipe) taylor tower of power throttle body spacer, long tube headers true dual 2 1/2 pipe with flowmaster super 40's turned down past the cab. now, i can get an e fan set up off a newer truck from a salvage yard for little to nothing but what do i need to get this in my truck? i've read so far that radiator probes are dumb and that the PCM can control an e fan. how would that work for my application since my fan is originally mechanical? any advice would be helpful. thank you.
