Tahoe Keyless Entry Rewiring

My dad and I have a 1997 Tahoe project truck that we are building up. Its a 2 door, 2 wheel drive and it has the cargo doors on the back. We decided to shave the rear door handle to clean the truck up, so we fabricated a bracket and mounted an Autoloc popper to actuate the door latch. We are trying to keep the truck as stock as possible and we'd rather use budget money on the motor, so we are looking for a way to continue to use the factory GM remote keyless entry system. We have all the shop and service manuals, and I have poured through them and I think I have found a way to make this work but I am looking for a bit of confirmation from someone more expirienced than myself. Also I could use a pin out diagram for the RCDLR if someone has one.

Since the rear door will be shaved, there is really no need to lock it so we can disregard that portion of the circuit. As you all know, if you hit the unlock once it unlocks only the drivers door and if you hit it twice it unlocks all the doors which would, in our case, hit the popper and open our rear door. That would be a tremendous PITA having to reshut the door every time we want to unlock the doors remotely. On the 1997 Tahoe there is another button that says Rear 2X. On the Tahoe with the rear cargo doors that button unlocks only those doors when you hit it twice. According to the shop manuals, however, on the Tahoes and Suburbans equipped with the lift gate, it would pop the window on the lift gate. I examined the circuit diagrams and it appears there is a circuit designated K that pops the rear window open. Would it be possible to modify the wiring harness a bit at the RCDLR and essentially wire up the popper as if it were the liftgate motor in the K circuit. This would remove the rear door connection from the unlock relay so that now hitting the unlock button twice would operate just the front doors and not pop the rear door. And then the rear 2X would only actuate the rear door.

What do you all think? Would this work? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as would a pin out diagram for the RCDLR.
