Factory Fogs

I searched & really couldn't find - I don't want to upgrade, just looking for a good stock replacements for my '01 YXL. A week ago I had the lens fall halfway off one of them so I glued it back on. Today I'm washing the truck and notice the lens cover has fallen off the drivers side and the "chrome" lining has already started to wash away.lol

I realize these things take a beating at road level but it's hard to believe no one makes a set that aren't crap. Are the G.M. replacements the ticket or is e-bay the best thing going for these?

Aftermarket HIDs. what came with your truck are not fog lights but "Oooh look! I got two cool little lights down below!" lights. I have them too. THey suck. Going to put in aftermarket HIDs once I get my new 2010

Just replaced the passenger side fog on my '03 YXL today with GM OEM parts. IMO they work fine, I don't demand that they be the best out there as I don't drive in fog that much

So where did you buy yours and the cost? Did it just include the fog light housing and no bulb or wiring? I found some on ebay for about $35, does not include the bulb, wiring or hardware, I guess you have to use all of the existing stuff that is already on the truck.

I went to the local dealership, $103 there and included housing and bulb, so all I had to do is crawl under there and bolt it down and plug it in.

Another vote here. Get the yellow 3000K though! White is for looks, yellow for (fog) functionality, blue/purple... you are color crazy

I bought a couple of the cheap eBay ones when I had my 2001s.. I say spend a little extra and get the GM part. I could see the light's pattern vibrating as I went down the road. Those suckers were FLIMSY!
