2007 Sierra 2500 6.0l Nbs Tune Options

Got an '07 Sierra 2500 with the 6.0L and 6-speed auto. 100% stock other than 265 BFG's. I bought it new in '07 and have about 19k on it. I am wondering what my options are as far as a tuner/programmer are. I am tired of the 6-speed transmission shifts and the torque managament. They make the engine fall on its face espically accellerating from a stop. Just looking to help correct some of this and maybe add a few more ponys. Thanks

Look to the left and click on the link that says Black Bear Performance. All of your problems will suddenly disappear.

there is a revised factory calibration that will help quite a bit with the tranny issue-it will also change your engine tuning as well....just remember any change to the programming that's non factory has the potential to void your powertrain warranty---and yes I have the Bullydog programming in mine but haven't had to go to the dealer since having the factory update installed about 18 months ago...

I have had the factory update on my truck for the transmission, and engine.

Effective back on Dec. O7

Not to many know about the new update. It is really bad for shifting between 60-80klms. hr so the update fixed it!!!

And on another note the dealer can trace the programmer even if you reset it back to factory standards before maintenace.

The warranty will exclued the drive train if your still under warranty and get caught with a programmer.

anybody know what the tsb# is for this issue. I am taking my Silverado 2500hd 6.0 in for service on Tuesday and to see if they will reflash the update in. truck has very little power and seems to bog down when pulling a trailer.

Don't do the reflash!

The reflash is worse than the original tuning. I had mine done because if you take off normally with the tow/haul button on and after the truck shifts into 2nd, nail it. The trans will become confused and not know what to do. They thought this would help, it only made things worse. The truck would hang in the lower gears before upshifting at around town speeds. Then slowing down, the truck would hang in 4th and you'd really feel it when it downshifted into 3rd. I took it back to my dealer and told them to put the original program back in, but they told me that GM will not let you go back once the programming has been updated.

It was after that I spent the money and had a custom tune done on my truck and never looked back.
