Abs Light - 02 Silverado

Got the ABS light on. Codes read the following...

C0221

222

223

225

226

227

all these code point to the left and right side speed sensor.

C0265 - EBCM relay circuit

C0281 - Brake switch circuit.

Now, i had a wheel bearing go bad a few weeks ago. We changed the wheel bearing and then soon realized we changed the wrong one. No problem, we took the old wheel bearing and installed it on the other side, problem fixed...case closed

the ABS didn't show up until a few weeks later. I really dont think the speed sensors are the issue.. I think maybe something came loose. The day the problem started, I did drive down a real real bumping dirt road. Maybe something is loose now? I checked the speed sensors, all seem good and tight. I also cleaned the ground under the drivers door.

any new idea's ???????? Can the EBCM code cause the other codes? or vi versa?

It would be helpful to always include your year/model vehicle in the first post. Some people have factory service manuals here for a few years and might be able to look something up for you (if we know the year/model).

Then with some year vehicles, there will be just rear wheel ABS or 4 wheel ABS. The diagnostic codes would be different depending on the ABS in the vehicle.

Other than that, as mentioned on another thread by someone, you can get your ABS rebuilt. These ABS have electronic circuit boards in them with a bunch of solder connections. These connections can come loose. Here again is the link for that...

Then the electrical connectors from the wiring harness to the ABS are usually pretty darn solid, but might want to examine it to be sure the electrical connections look clean and that they would be making good electrical contact.

But it seems to me with so many different trouble codes, all these things would not go out at one time. I would think it would be a loose electrical connector or the ABS control unit needs to be rebuilt.
