Looking At A Used 06 Silverado.

He asked me what i thought of it. Funny thing is I just traded in my 06 Sierra 6 moths ago. He could have bought that and had a know good truck with 15k less miles for about the same price. The dealer did come down to 16k on this truck. Only thing that has me scared is i see a brake controller. That scares me because you dont know what the previous owner was towing. Also might somebody be able to tell me what gears are in this truck and what model it is, LT? Vin number is 2GCEK13T661139168

Judging by the sticker in the back window it looks like the truck was used for towing Snowmobiles.

Alot of the 06 trucks came with 3.42 or 3.73's. Have the dealership look at the RPO code in the glove box to confirm. Looks like a nice truck though.

You or your dad will want to make a careful and thorough rust check on this truck. The copious surface rust on the hitch receiver may suggest he hauled a boat or jet skis to/from the lake ramp. Does Arctic Cat manufacture jet skis?

 

I generally don't care for '03+ GMT800's due to the fugly headlights, but if you do it specs decently at $16k for a 3yo truck with 45k miles and a nice camper shell.

It has 3.42's with the G80 locker,Its an "LT2" trim level model.

i am with you on the looks. thats why i went with my 06 sierra over the silverado. imo looks a bit better.

I agree, he was probably pulling sleds, and yes, you may want a brake controller if you get 4 or 5 sleds on a trailer
