Fiberglass Tonneau Cover Will Fit Up To What Year...?

Hows it goin everyone? Been a lurker for a little while and decided to join. Basically i need a question answered. I have an '01 Silverado ext. cab shortbox and i'm trying to sell the fiberglass tonneau cover on it. I'm not sure what years the cover will fit. I assumed 1999-02. Those are the years i placed on the ad. But i had a guy asking if it would fit an '07 Silverado Classic. I told him i'd do some research and find out for him. the beds look similar except for the top plastic piece on the tailgate. Thank you.

i used to sell tonneau covers for a while and sounds like what you got would fitt all gm 800 platform trucks but not the new style....the bed is shaped differntly. You can make them fit the old style trucks like 95 and newer or so but it wont fit good. Might be alittle off on the corners.

 

BUt as long as the guy has a short bed and a classic style your beds will be the same. The soft tonneaus are easier to make fit the fiberglass depending on manufacture might have strick gidelines as to how they have the frame made.

 

oh also, have him look at his truck make sure he dosent have one of them tailgate spoilers if your tonneau wraps over the tailgate like the Leer 800's or the ARE ls2's that will get in the way and the guy will have to buy the regular wrap over spoiler.
