Erratic Speedometer/transmission Stuck In 2nd Gear.

I've been having a problem with my speedometer acting up and my transmission sometimes gets stuck in 2nd gear. BTW, it's

a 1994 GMC Sierra with a 4.3L gas engine. I've read somewhere about changing connector 240 under the dash. I can't find

that connector anywhere in wiring diagrams. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which wiring diagrams are you using? GM factory?

 

In the back of my 92 factory wiring diagram manual is a list of connectors.

I was using the ones available online from our local library but they show no connectors.

I have had that same problem before, and it ended up being the vehicle speed sensor...

I have had that same problem before, and it ended up being the vehicle speed sensor...

 

 

 

Been there too. VSS fixed it.
