Delimit Factory Headunit

I was told the factory headunit is volume limited to protect the crappy stock speakers. I have since replaced them with some Kenwood speakers, but I am still trying to stay with the stock HU because I want it to look stock inside. (That and I haven't found a double DIN headunit that I like yet).

 

Does anyone know a way to de-limit the factory unit?

 

Also, is there an iPod control or AUX in for the factory HU?

I would think the only volume limitation is how much power it can output which would involve how the radio is built.

 

There are devices you can add to the radio that do allow for auxiliary inputs, I don't know the names of any though.
