My g/f has a 2006 Chevy Cobalt, yesterday she ran over something in the roadway right by my house. This morning when she tries to leave for work, she realizes she has a flat, so me being the nice guy I am, I let her take my truck to work  . So earlier I go out and take her wheel off to get it fixed and I see a hole in the rim itself. Apparently whatever the hell she ran over was hard and pretty good size b/c there are fresh scrape marks on her brake cover and all under her fender well. It punched through her tire and through the steel rim, very odd, I did tire work in high school for 3 years and never have I seen something like that. To make things even difficult she is leaving for Florida next Saturday.

So I call around to all the local junk yards and auto salvage joints, 1 local place has one but is asking for a whopping $110 for the SOB, used or new! I went by my local chevy dealership and they actually have one in stock for $105 out the door, I almost got it but decided to check around online to see if I can find a better deal first.

So any ideas ya'll have to find one online that has fast shipping would be great...

you would have to call for availability and shipping

It has 15" rims, I've found many websites that have them starting at $60, some with free shipping, the problem with that is in order to make sure that it gets here in time for next weekend I would have to do 2 day shipping and that costs about $120 itself. Found that out after doing a little looking online, so I'm thinking my best bet would be to buy the one from the local dealer, it's new and cheapest route to go in order to have her set for next Saturday.

Do you have first hand experience with this company, i also found out that my tire going flat is actually my rim being cracked and with no local salvage yards having the p25 17" inch alloy rim im forced to go online and do not want a rim that has been repaired as the tire guy told me that weld repairs on alloys never work. This place seems to have a decent price at 135 for a rim, the dealer is insane wanting almost 4 bills per rim.

I ended up buying the rim from my local chevy dealer, they told me $105 out the door over the phone, but when I showed up to buy it she asked me how $88 out the door sounded, of course I said lets do it.... I didn't ask why she was giving me the discount, I am assuming it was b/c I was in uniform b/c I went straight from work. Anyways b/c of her generosity next time when I need parts, I will def. check with them first...

You must of needed a steel cheapy, i called the chevy dealer for them to tell me that gm actually thinks someone would pay 651.33 for one single p25 rpo aluminum 17" rim! I finally found a good sized salvage yard out towards boston and got a used one for 125 and it was in good shape!
