Ok...we are getting ready to bite the bullet on a toy hauler. We are considering the Jayco Octane T26Y

It has the upgraded options of the 4000watt generator, dual powered queen size beds in the "garage" area, 112 gal water tank, 2 seperate gas tanks (1 for generator, 1 for fuel station), fuel station, 15,000BTU AC.

any thoughts?? any recommendations? pull the trigger already...?? Anything ewes found out that ya needed after ya bought one that the one you had didnt have

Price is $31,868...too high?? just right??

thanks!

A friend bought pretty much same trailer for less money a year ago and that was in CDN $. I think that's a bit on the high side.

I'm not much for trailers. I like the motorhomes........but NICE RIG!!! Wish I had one myself.

I don't know anything about pricing, but I know toyhaulers are usually on the high side. I really like how it comes with a generator. Very nice feature for a trailer. Usually only motohomes come with them.

I'm not a toyhauler expert but here's a couple of observations. First it looks like a very nice unit with some nice features aimed at the toyhauler crowd. (generator, fuel stations etc.) Things that are similar to my camper so I noticed are "no side slide" makes it a tight squeeze and sometimes you feel a little cramped. Especially on rainy days.

The bed configurations would require the person in the back to crawl over the front person to get out (sometimes this can be fun) but not always.

Ultimately it comes down to your own preferences but just some things to think about. Price does seem a little high though.

When we decided to buy one I knew I didn't wnat to spend alot of money so we decided to buy a used one.I also knew I didn't want a big heavy one so I decided on one about 21'.I searched the 'net and saw many for $12,000-$15,000.I continued searching and found one,a 2003 for $9,200.It had rarely been used and was like new.....we've had a ton of fun in it.What I'm saying is there are used ones in very good condotion out there for alot less money,I found ours on Craigslist and wasn't to far away. Our grandkids(the ones who ride are all girls) love it(they also go nuts on riding dirtbikes).Oh,and BTW it's a THOR TAHOE.

Desert Fox makes a high quality rig and I was smitten by the Fuzion 5th wheel for a while. I will probably get and Artic Fox (same company as desert fox) slide in for my pick-up and tow my Hawghauler.
