Had to replace the OEM battery today after only 5 years and 2 months

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When these things go south they go all at once......thought I was driving Christine (cluster going nuts, seatbelt chimes ringing like fire alarm).

 

Limped into AutoZone literally (truck went into reduced power mode) and after putting in a DuraLast Gold she's back to her old self.

I don't know maybe its the economy but my local GMC dealer has been selling the OEM battery has cheap as a lot of the Parts houses are selling their name brand for.

Normally I'm lucky to get 36 months out of the original battery (the summer's in the south love to eat batteries).

How long do you expect a battery to last? Mine on my GMT900 went out with only a year's use. These batteries are piles but yours was good.

+1 on only 36 months. I had ac delco, and interstate. Usually, the first cold winter day, they go out. Plus, having 2 PPI amps, at 180 watts each, don't help, either.
