As many of you know I have been searching a SD for many months now. Well I think I finally found one that I am going to purchase. Headed up to Dallas this weekend to take a look at it on Friday. I looked it up on KBB and it is worth 21,000. It has 67000 miles on it. The long and short of it is I talked the guy down to 18,500 which I think is a pretty good deal for this truck. The passenger side mirror needs glass because it is cracked. I am not worried about it, should be an easy fix.

Post your thoughts. Thanks.2005 Black Sierra Denali

Nice truck for sure...and 18/5 is a great deal...but I would get a bank draft for 17/5 and another one for 1000, he may drop another few bucks off seeing cash in hand. Just show him the 17/5 one first....than if he declines say you will have to go down to the bank and try and get another 1000.

If he has not spent the money to replace the mirror glass what else is he skimping on.

Personally I would try to have it inspected before traveling to see it.

I don't think it is his daily driver and I am headed up that way to see my dad in dallas for the 4 day weekend (stationed at ft polk) so it isn't all business once I get to dallas. I have big plans for this truck but just wanted to find one that was in my price range.

In all honesty....if it were just a crack in the mirror, I would leave it alone to if I knew was going to sell the truck anyway....But yeah an inspection before buying is a very good idea.

definitely plan on inspecting the truck before I buy. I am prepared to change my offering price depending on what I see when I get there Friday afternoon.

I appreciate it. I have been looking for a very long time and finally came across one for a decent price with low mileage. I forgot to mention in the original post that the trans has been rebuilt by transmission masters in fort worth tx with a transferable warranty. It is a one owner truck and he said the tranny was starting to slip so he got it rebuilt. From what I have read, that is a common issue on the 4spd tranny. Correct me if I am wrong.
