Have any of you tried these wiper blades?

Recommended Posts

No but a little miffed that I went to AutoZone and couldn't find a premium blade that fits our trucks. Ended up with some conventional something ($14 ea) that I'll replace at the end of summer, most likely dealer provided...

I ran across these wiper blades on the internet. Does anyone have any experience with these? I am thinking about trying them when it is time to change mine. Here is the link to the website. https://shop.scrubblade.com/

No I have not tried them but I do follow them on Instagram. I have been meaning to purchase them when mine run out, but honestly my factory ones are going on 2 years now and still do not streak. I even purchased a set of Bosch O.E. blades for the fact that I figured the factory ones would go bad in a few months after purchase. These things are the train that could.

They must have downgraded the wipers for 2017. Mine lasted 2 months, I went back to the dealer and had them replaced at no cost to me. I said to them that wipers should last more than 2 months and they replaced them - no problem.

Scrub blades dont have good reviews. Bosch icons are nice for moving water, but dont do jack for bugs and such on the windshield.

Agree with the bug part. Those suck. Have to clean those off at the gas station or car wash.

Bosch OE's at Walmart are remarkably good for a big box bargain part.

As mentioned, I am very disappointed with Rain-X blades as I've used their Rain-X water repellent on everything since the 80's with great success. Wipers suck though.... they flop around (crappy mount) and got hard and smeared in about 4 months.

I normally get the Bosch Icon 22OE from Wally World for around $18.00 each, they would last a year. This go around, I went with the Rain-X OE Blades which were $8.00. In past the Rain X would last 6 months max. If these go longer, I will stick with them as overall buying a new set every 8months to a year make them a cheaper option than the Icon's. Reality is any wiper blade if they are removing dust, road debris, frost, ice or bugs from your windshield, causes the rubber to wear out faster.

Try adding a table spoon of Dawn dish washing soap to your windshield liquid cleaner, it helps with bugs, smearing and streaking! Been doing this for 10 years now and I'm sold. Has to be Dawn though, tried Palmolive and it flopped big time. Don't add too much because then it will foam and not help at all.
