  1. It’s been a long time since I posted. Bought these two toys new 2 years ago. Put the truck in the shop the day after I got it to put wheels, tires, amp steps, 60 gal titan fuel tank (OEM replacement), front and fender PPF, bakflip cover, and the 5th wheel hitch. The 5th wheel is a Grand Design Momentum 349M. Both are fully loaded custom orders. Waited 4 months for the truck and 6 months for the rig. Took about a year to decide on setup. Havd the 2020 AT4 HD and a Keystone Cougar 29BHS before that. Was a good Setup but I’m loving this one way more even after 2 years!
  2. Searched the forum and not finding what I am looking for. I have owned several GM trucks, but picking up my first dually in a couple weeks and looking to throw 20" wheels on it. I am purchasing wheels and tires that have minimally the same load capacity as stock. What I am looking for is what size tires are people running on these wheels with stock suspension and no trimming. I will be towing heavy and going to places where there is snow and ice on the ground (not always while towing). I plan to run a an AT tire (Toyo or Falken). I am considering a 275 65 20. Anyone running this setup? Can you post pictures? I want to ensure ride quality, towing performance, and that the tires are not sticking out the fenders too much. Thanks!! Nate
  3. Try driving it with the mirrors folded in to see if that is it. My mirrors put off noise on my 2020 HD at highway speeds.
  4. I’ve ordered a few things from eTrailer lately that they claim is in stock but they’re actually drop shipping from supplier and things took weeks to show up. I learned from one of their customer service reps, that if the only shipping option is ground, then it’s not really in stock. Anything in their warehouse will have expedited shipping options, e.g. 2nd day air, etc.. I cancelled some orders after waiting weeks.
  5. This ring is supposed to be connected to my drive shift where it meets the rear differential/ transfer case. It’s come off and some parts are missing. Getting the trucked towed to the dealership now. What is this part called? Anyone have a part number? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Got my 2020 GMC AT4 HD Duramax fully loaded for $68,500 with a sticker of $77k back in October of 2019. I traded in a 2014 GMC Sierra SLT 1500 4x4 that was stickers at $50k but I paid $36,500 on a ridiculous Black Friday deal. Dealership took it on trade in for $30k. Drove that truck for 70k miles and 5 years and only lost $6k in depreciation! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Don’t have the answers to how to mount and connect the camper. I have a 35’ TT. As for the lithium batteries, given the size and capacity, you’ll want a converter / charger to maintain them. I use a Xantrex Freedom XC 2000 with bluetooth panel. I have 440ah from my 4 6v AGM batteries. The xantrex charges them quickly (up to 80 amps). The limiting step in charging is your weakest link. For example, I have a 50 amp RV and when plugged into a 50 amp pole, I can send that all through to the batteries. When using my 4000 watt generator that is a hybrid inverter generator with 30 amp plug, I can send about 30 amps. My truck though, only sends a trickle charge. I’ve never tested the voltage but my guess is 5 amps or something low. If I used my truck to charge when batteries are at 50%, I’d need to drive around for a few days... with solar, you need a charge controller to convert the energy to AC, go through your converter and charge the batteries. With enough panels (400 - 600 watts) you can send 20-30 amps plus in peak sun light. I boondock a lot, so the advantage of having all that is I can run all my outlets, TVs, microwave, coffee maker, heater (winter camp in high elevation), fridges, etc. for 1-4 days without plugging into shore power or running my generator depending on usage. Do you plan to boondock a lot? How much amperage do you need between charges, etc.? I highly recommend you keep researching all this stuff (as you have), figure out your daily amperage, what your batteries capacity is, what your stock converter can do and then what your plan is to manage all that: generator, solar, etc.. Lots of great info on YouTube. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Congrats on the new truck and rig!! Great combination. Now you need to order a SXS to stick in that garage. I’d love a Can Am X3 .Mac Turbo in the back of a 350G! Who wouldn’t though?!? [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Beautiful rig. We have a bunk model now. 2018 Keystone Cougar 29BHS. Bought 2.5 years ago and have racked up 20k+ miles. We have a 7 & 4 year old so the bunks have been great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I’m exactly in the same boat as you. I have a black AT4 HD 2500 Duramax loaded. I also Don’t want to be over the door sticker. Wish I had got a 3500. Now I’m thinking to get the 3500 but maybe go to the DRW Denali so I can upgrade to anything else down the line. I get a new vehicle every 5 years or less so maybe just the 3500 SRW... Maybe go white since I’ve had 2 black trucks in a row. Love the black though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Which model is that? The 337? We’ve looked at the 337, 340... and have also looked at the 350G. Wife wants one of the first two... I want the 350G. Awesome rigs all around! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Used trucks are going for a premium. Hard to find trucks here in so cal. Dealerships are marking them up $5-10k above MSRP, sell it and get the truck you want. There’s 0% financing right now so the money you eat in sales tax will be made up in not financing (assuming you don’t pay cash for your cars). I’m considering selling my 2020 AT4 HD 2500 for a 3500 DRW so I can go to a 40’ toy hauler. The 6.6L Duramax is a beast. No lag and gets up and goes on passing. Love my truck... just looking at toy haulers that are too big for it. I’ve put 25k miles on it, mostly towing a 35’ 9k lbs TT... been great for that. I’m going to try and hold out for a 2022/3 when they should have an interior refresh though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have a 2020 AT4 HD Duramax. I bought it Oct ‘19 and have put 25k miles. Mostly towing a 35’ 8.5k lbs travel trailer with a 1k lb of hitch weight. I load the truck up pretty good too (40 gals extra fresh water, 10 gals extra fuel, 100lb generator, gear, 500lbs of people. We boondock a lot. Took it to the scales and the truck is at 10,500 and the trailer at 7,500. I’ve towed the trailer about 20k miles. I’ve been up and down the steepest grades in the US. I regularly take our trailer to the mountains 1-2x per month (summer and winter). I’ve towed in winds up to 40 MPH on a few occasions but mostly see them in the 15-25 MPH range. I have an equalizer WDH. No mods to the truck but it’s fully optioned and has 3100 lbs of payload. Truck is an absolute beast for towing. I can drag my trailer up a 6% grade at 75 MPH. I don’t get any sway in winds or sucked in when passing semis. The exhaust break is awesome. I just set it to 55-60 coming down grades and don’t need the brakes unless the road is winding. I dragged the trailer through dirt, snow, heavy rain, etc. no problem. We’re now looking at fifth wheels and my only regret is not getting the 3500 AT4 SRW with the different axle and overlord spring. This truck has more than enough power to tow the fifth wheels we are looking at but some of them will put the truck over the payload on the door sticker. Sure, I can add springs or bags to stabilize the truck and reduce sag, but I don’t want to be over the door sticker in case there’s legal liability. So, I’m limited in which 5th wheels we can get. I may just get a smaller 5th wheel or upgrade the truck to a 3500 DRW so I can tow anything on the market!! We’re looking at 5th wheels that range from 35’ and 12-13k lbs loaded (wouldn’t put anything but people in the truck) all the way up to toy haulers that are 39’ and 16k lbs loaded. Can’t do the latter without a new truck... even though I’ve seen trucks tow way over their payload regularly, I don’t want an issue or legal/ financial negligence liability. 14. Contact GM Corporate. They have to honor the pricing and they can’t force BS paint protection plans on you. My buddy just used a GM Code at Motor City GMC in Bakersfield. No issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
