How long and difficult was it to install?

We did it in two nights about 4 to 5 hours each night. So I would say the whole thing took 8 to 10 hours. But there was a few beers drank and a few stories told. :troll: So if you factor out that time, i would think it could be done in 6 to 8 hours.

As for the difficulty... I didnt think it was that hard. It Helps to have at least one person helping you... It makes taking off and puttin on the bumper a lot easier. Also there are a few cuts that need to be made to the bumper brackets and a small tab of metal they give you needs to be welded in. As long as you have a sawzall and a welder or someone that can weld for you, there shouldnt be any problems.

My brother thought I was crazy for getting a 1.5 inch lift. He thought you wouldnt even notice anything different about the truck. But once it was done he changed his mind. He thinks it looks great. Its just enough to change the look of the truck and most people couldnt even tell it has a lift on it.

I think around summer time ill be ready for new tires. So then I will jump up to 285's which I think will complete the look of the truck.

sawzall and a welder? thought it was a bolt on kit?

It is bolt on.... after you make some cuts and weld two tabs in... :sigh:

It wasnt hard at all. You have to cut two things on each bumper. Also you need to take the mounts off that the bumper and tow hooks bolt to and cut a few inches out of it. That is where the welding comes in. They give you a small piece of metal to weld in for suport for the part that you cut out. took longer to wait for the paint to dry then it did to weld it.

got ya if i get one now its going to be the new 1.25" RC one got 150 with bumper brackets. Maybe there kit needs no fabrication.

Typically if it comes with bumper relocation brackets there will at least be cutting involved.
