I was curious to know what everybody is running and what are your thoughts regarding your current setup? I know there are a lot of other configurations, but these are the ones I'm mainly looking into. (aka "warranty friendly" mods.)

Basically, I'd just like to know if you like it, hate it, think its perfect, would you go back to stock, etc? Also include your engine size as well for comparison.

I'm currently running a Flashpaq tuner with Magnaflow exhaust, but have been considering going back to stock exhaust and keeping the tuner... or evening going with a different exhaust all together (ie. Corsa).

Thanks!

I did run True Dual 2.5" magnaflows with Superchips flashpaq tune

but then swapped the magnaflows for flowmaster 40's

and i like it better the magnaflows had good high RPM power and sound but the flowmasters are more my style of sound at the lower RPM's

I'm running single 3" piping with a 12" Dynomax Bullet and the stock PCM. Since I got my new exhaust, I noticed that the engine pulls slightly harder off the line and up hills.

Guess I'll throw in my recent exhaust/flashpaq experience. Also note that this is the 6.0l V8, which are rather well known for being quite a bit louder than the 5.3's.

First threw on a very long Magnaflow muffler (about 26" or so?), mandrel bent pipe, 3" of course, stock tip, and with the stock PCM. Lost a bit of low end torque, improved throttle response, but picked up some high-end HP. Sounded good, but there was drone when there was a load on the engine (ie. 2+ occupants).

Then loaded the flashpaq. Very noticably improved the low-end and mid-range torque and smoothed out the entire powerband. Exhaust tone changed, bit more aggressive, and it did sound better. Still had drone, of course.

Threw on a 2nd muffler just before the tailpipe, fixed drone issue. Now exhaust is a bit quiet on the outside, but still sounds good on the inside.

And now, because I'm never 100% satisfied, I'm considering going back to stock or maybe even try to find a "cheap" Corsa system.

For me....cat-back single exhaust Gibson, wiat4me tune.

Very happy. Mind you, a super-charger would be nice but way out of my price-range.

I have a borla cat back duals. Sound good and is quiet in the cab when up to speed. I have not yet changed the pcm but would like to turn off the TM.

K&N AIR FILTER with catback MagnaFlow 4" tip. Quite happy with the sound although I do feel as though I lost a little mid-range. Looking for the right PCM for the truck now

6.0 with Corsa (sport) and Hypertech. Thinking aabout a pcm. Love the exhaust. No drone sounds great.

I'm currently running a Dynomax Super Turbo cat-back kit with the stock PCM programming.

Want to change to either a Magnaflow muffler or an Aerochamber. Either way something louder than what I have. Also what to do a PCM programming change. Maybe a Westers or go with a EFILive setup.

On my '05 6.0l I have Bassani LTs, dual 3" to 2 flowmaster 40's and collected to a single 4" tailpipe. I am currently running a Crane programmer but am considering having a custom tune done.

My mods are in my signature, but I certainly wouldn't change a thing. I recently went to a shorter length magnaflow (22" to 14") to get a deeper sound. The first was 2 - 2 1/2 into a single 3" exit, the current one is 2.5 dual in/dual out with a built in x-pipe.

I voted Stock w/programmer, and still undecided! I'm running stock exhaust with the Edge Evolution and GMPP CAI. I like it but, I'm still considering an exhaust system (probably the GMPP or Corsa Touring, single side exit). For the time being I may just add a chrome tip to dress it up a bit. With the AFM and reports of drone and sound shift when running in V4, I don't want to go cheap on the exhaust with this engine! I'm happy with the sound of the stock exhaust, and would really only change it it afforded me better performance while towing. I two biggest concerns with an aftermarket exhaust is drone and loss of low end torque!
