Better Lift Hight

I like Rancho's 4" lift. however it's technically more of a 6"

I went with a 4" lift. If you go with a 6", you can't go over 25mph in 4wd because it vibrates bad. You can fix that by getting a longer front driveshaft (For Pro Comp its around $700 for it.) Also if you go higher up it can mess with the stabilatrak. Most 6" lifts you have to cut out your crossmember and with the majority of 3" lifts you don't.

 

I just realized you have an 04, I am just talking about the NBS. You won't have to worry about the stabilatrak.

i figure a 3" would be more functional with pulling a trailor and unloading things out the bed.

i dont drive on any ramps and i dont even have a lift....just as long as your not 300+ lbs

I voted 6'' because no one makes a quality 3inch out on the market right now.

I would got with rough country suspension's 6", that is what i have on my truck and it requires no front drive shaft. I run my truck is 4wd at 4o mph and it doesnt vibrate at all....i know the pro comp lifts do, the the fabtech, rough coutnry and bds kits dont vibrate. Plus the rough country lift is the cheapest.

I'm leaning towards a 3in. I'm just curious, with a set of 33's or so, how high does the actual truck go(from floor to antenea)? My main concern is fitting in my garage, which is I think 83 inches high? does that sound right?

If your garage opening is that high, you will not have any problems fitting in the garage with that set up.
