  1. Did you reboot the phone during the forget/re-pair process?
  2. 2023 Upfitters docs include this info about charging and auto stop/start
  3. Fwiw, the charging system is managed and monitored by computer. It adjusts charging, can turn adjust loads etc etc. This chart indicates what OEM equipment (but doesn't use standard industry coding)
  4. I agree that name brand is likely a good idea -- but for this job I'm using a random freebee I've had for years.
  5. There may have been updates that didn't change the onstar version. There many be updates that require the vehicle to be plugged into dealer computer.
  6. Mine has no audio files in the root. USB hadn't been used in this truck. (usb is old, I've used for years in other vehicles) I didn't even start the truck. Just used acc mode. I only stayed in truck long enough to verify that it would play and didn't wait for index to finish. Once I selected usb as source it said it was indexing, and the audio started playing. I was able to use arrow controls to move between songs while this was going on. I think my 4GB is about 45 hours of audio. Makes 80GB work out to 900 hours...that's a lot of audio!!
  7. What file format are you audio files? My 2023 will work with MP3's. Haven't tried any other file types. Most of my audio was cd's that were converted to mp3's using itunes on a descktop (a few years ago) About 16GB usb formatted with FAT32 About 4GB of data. (mostly audio) Files organized with nested folders. Artist>album>song
  8. What truck / transmission do you have?
  9. Seems you need to have them remove it... Definitely not a noise I've ever heard from a GM truck
  10. I run 18" in winter instead of the 20's the truck came with. I've done this on several 1500's. I find they ride better, but don't 'handle' quite as well ( more 'roll' when sidewalls flex in a tight turn) GM still has these on 2024's I got may take-offs in late 2020. (I thought they were off a 2020/2021 AT4. Today they show as standard on SLT and available on Pro and SLE
  11. Tires are also a part of the 'suspension'. Did you stick with the standard 18" rims and factory tires? Have you adjusted air pressure to match the actual axle weights for your application? (I'm assuming you aren't running at max rated loads)
  12. Anybody remember when the Cuyahoga River was on fire near Cleveland? Vintage Photos of Cuyahoga River on Fire Highlight Why EPA Exists (businessinsider.com)
  13. I think your dealer needs to do a little more diagnosis. On LM2 and LZO, NOx sensor failures haven't been a common failure. Your comment might make you feel better, but NOx sensors were a thing --- long before your president was even the VP. And of course, EPA was around long before NOx sensors.
  14. 2015 was a completely different electrical system than the 1500's trucks that are 22.5 and newer ('24 and newer for HD's)
  15. Self insure everything you buy. Vehicles, appliances, electronics, etc etc. Put what would have been the contract amount in a separate account. Only use money from the account if there is a repair THAT THE INSURANCE WOULD HAVE COVERED. Yes, with an early failure the account may go negative for awhile -- but it will recover. Use the money to retire early or to have more toys when you retire. Those selling these plans aren't losing money doing so. A lot of people are getting paid out of your fee. Only a portion is ever used to repair anybody's vehicle They know that the averages are in their favour and that although there will be some purchases that benefit in the short term -- on average the insurance companies win. Running mostly new vehicles since 1980. Used to run them much longer than today. I've never had a failure that would have been covered by an 'extended' warranty. The power of compounding on $2000 invested (instead of added cost) on every new creates a huge nest egg.
  16. It's kinda like glorified powertrain grade braking. It's definitely has a less aggressive 'feel' than the exhaust brake on the LML ('11) and L5P ('18) 6.6's that had previously. Of course the loads it's intended to hold/slow are also much lower than what the 6.6's are expected to manage. With cruise set the exhaust brake and powertrain grade braking will work to hold the speed from increasing above the set speed. Truck will also downshift as necessary to increase the braking provided.
  17. My '23 1500 has them. At first I also didn't think mine were working. Wipers still have to be turned 'on' for rain-sense to work (the 'off' position is still an off position, if that makes sense) The knob positions that would have adjusted intermittent speed still do that, but with rain-sense the amount of rain landing in front of the camera is also factored in. If it quits raining, they will quit wiping. If it rains harder, they run faster. The higher in the 'intermittent' range, the higher the sensitivity and the more often they will wipe. Heavy enough rain and they will go to non-intermittent using the slow or fast range as necessary. I find that I still need/want to adjust the sensitivity/intermittent setting -- but don't have to mess with it near as much as with conventional intermittent wipers..
  18. Any accessory devices (radar detector, dashcams, etc.) connected that might increase the parasitic draw above the factory level? If not, there is a procedure to determine whatever it is that is causing the abnormal draw.
  19. All 3 use sensors.
  20. Might not be the adaptive cruise, but the truck is seeing something that is causing emergency braking to kick in or has a faulty camera or sensor sending a signal so the truck 'thinks' something is there. All '23 1500 pickups have UHY and UKJ
  21. Perhaps the dealer needs to re-align the camera that is in front of the rearview mirror.
  22. How about a yes or no so we don't have to watch video?
