with electric water pumps why would it idle up for cooling. mine does the idle up and idle rough sometimes, yesterday had it in the dealership for losing coolant, they phoned me later to tell me my rad has failed, 2020 rst

i spent 6 months test driving all the big 3 pickups in search of what was going to be my next truck. i had a 2014 chev that i put 180k miles on and it was almost problem free. i really did like the dodge but a new truck that has rattles in the cab just turned me off . the ford was also great to drive but it just didnt feel right. i have 4 friends with brand new gm's that all sat at the dealership for weeks because of lifter failures, not buying a gm v8. so i went and test drove a chev rst with the 2.7. i was impressed at how well it performed, so i bought it. now after 3k miles i can honestly say it is better on gas than my 5.3 was. does it compare to a v8, in most of my driving it does it job well. but it does lack a little in towing and when it comes to getting out and passing on a 2 lane road is where i miss the v8. after you get past the fart can noise of the exhaust when starting off , it is pretty quiet and does cruise along pretty effortlessly. time will tell on the reliability of this engine but for 60 percent of pickup truck owners it is all you really need

i am at 38k now, does not seem to have gotten any worse. i also have an intermittent high pitch squealing noise at start up that only last a few seconds

my 2020 2.7 does this also. it is also intermittent, some mornings it seems to misfire but most times it is fine. mine will also do it sometimes stopped at a red light

ECE you have shutters on your truck which are closed most of the time in the winter, so i dont think a plow would hurt it

my 2020 rst was the same way at 30k, replaced with bilstiens and much better but still a little to much bounce on the rear than i like

there is a service bulletin on this problem and gm knows about it happening. there a bracket inside the tail gate that has to be cut out to prevent it from happening again

a friend of mine did the same thing, he was lucky because he did right in front of my shop. dropped the fuel filter and dragged it into the shop, dropped the tank and cleaned it out . put fresh fuel and new filter and 3 hours later he was on his way.

if you are not over the mileage and time of the 3 year warranty it will be covered. unless they believe it is from some type of chemical

doesnt matter about the pump, you have an electrical problem. something didnt get plugged in right or maybe a ground wire

when i bought the truck there was a 2 inch levelling spacer on the bottom, gm shocks suck and i put bilsteins on my 2014 and they worked great. so i decided my new truck should get them to. all 4 wheel wells were at 39.25 inches, now with the new shocks set at 1.5 i am 39.5 on the front and 39.25 on the back. did putting in rear blocks give you any drive line vibrations

thx mike, i hope they settle down a bit, i wanted to have some rake still and i am level. its a lot of work taking them out

i just installed them on the front set at 1.5 inches and still got 2 inches of lift , is there a difference if you have the i-4 turbo or will the shocks settle down

2014 silverado 180k miles mods headlights locking rear diff 8 inch display and rvc heated seats heated steering wheel led fog lights maintenance oil at 35% diffs and transfer case every 50k transmission every 60k failures 1 battery vacuum pump radiator thermostat 3 times driveshaft shocks installed bilsteins at 70k it is starting rust around the rear wheel wells, but all in all been a good truck. selling it to my son because they wouldnt give me nothing for trade in and i bought 2020 rst turbo 4

just retired my 2014 chev with 180k and no serious failures, must have got a good one. yesterday i picked up a new to me 2020 rst with the 2.7 turbo. parked beside my 2014 this truck sits a lot higher. i have looked for a lift kit and there doesnt seem to be nothing installed. could someone tell me what the measurement from the ground to the center of the wheel well should be on the front and the back with 275/60r20

i am at 157k miles on original plugs and wires, still runs like new. if it aint broke dont fix it

i bought one of the china vcx nano for gm, you will need some computer experience to get it working, but when you do they work fine

my 2014 has bubbling on both rockers and the box wheel wells, and my truck was sprayed with rust proofing.

is this for a v8 or i4

do the oem led headlights light up the road better , are you satisfied with the light output. the reason i ask is because i am looking at a 2021 silverado rst with led headlights and just wondering are they really good
