  1. I have a 2014 LTZ Z71, it has a black grill but with horizontal bars rather than this honeycomb style. I added a cheap chrome overlay. My truck also has Z71 on the grill where this one has LTZ. I'm thinking this one is just a LTZ 4x4, meaning not a Z71. I am not certain though.
  2. Why post this here with no specifics on the dealer? You seem to be out to do damage but in reality, all you are doing is seeking attention. If you are looking for help or simply trying to sway the minds of GM folks, then why not include the price you were you looking for which the dealer wouldn't match? What options were on the truck you were looking at? Did you look at GMC, Toyota, Nissan, Ram too? Why did you choose Ford after owning several GM products?
  3. Yep - just fill rear diff until the fluid trickles out. You should do the front diff too. That one is generally a lot worse than the rear. I suggest using Amsoil fluids. Best you can get. Regarding the gasket, yes you can re use it as long as it's not damaged and you are careful taking off the diff cover. One important tip, on the front diff and transfer case, make sure you remove the fill bolt before the drain bolt. This step makes sure you can refill after you drain and don't end up in a bad spot.
  4. It's simply electronic changes to help you when towing. You can use it daily if you want, doesn't matter. It's just a mode to help you stay in control of your haul.
  5. Won't hurt it at all as long as you use it every x,****** miles, whatever is recommended by the fuel treatment manufacturer. Another measure you can take it to only use Top Tier certified fuel. Not required, but helps in the long run. If you really want to keep your engine and other parts at their best, use Amsoil products.
  6. Roadmaster Active Suspension. These make your daily ride better and have impressive towing and hauling improvements. The reviews speak for themselves, but these really are the best you can get. https://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Vehicle_Suspension-pm-RAS.aspx?gclid=CjwKCAjw4MP5BRBtEiwASfwAL6ClR287IecORqnkUBJFBlT-EDWvyXoyVduInR79Ifs74IkI7mTXoBoCC1IQAvD_BwE
  7. Email or call GM customer service
  8. That's the drain from the evaporator. Those two lines above it are what go into your evaporator in the dash board. All vehicles have this.
  9. Amsoil upper engine lubricant. Drop it in the fuel tank. Safe to use at every fill up. They have a fuel system treatment too that you can use every 4k miles. You can use the engine cleaner amd engline flush too. Ive used both to great results.
  10. Falken Wildpeak AT3W, best AT tire out there. I have a set on my 2014 and with 63k on them, they can probably safely make 70k. I've been off road and they do great. Just don't expect them to perform like a MT tire. The performance in wet weather really shines with these tires, excellent wet traction. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  11. I ordered my 2020 3.0L Duramax on 6/26 and was told the same thing as you, 6-8 weeks for arrival at the dealership. Likely the week of 8/20 as well. I did not hear about my truck coming in as a 2021, but will let you if I do.
  12. Hypertech Max Energy 2.0, part number #2000, original ODB cable and USB update cable. Original box and startup guide included, along with Hypertech sticker. Looking to get around $225 for it, can do Venmo or Facebook pay, I have a PayPal too. Trading my 2014 for a 2020 soon thus, the need to sell it. Will ship it anywhere you want! 13. Yes, go for it. Get yourself a 2020 with the 3.0L duramax or hold on to the cash for a another month after the sale and put in an order for a 2021. Its rare for folks to have equity in their vehicles and what you have is a rare opportunity. Let us know how it goes!
  14. I'm seeing the same now too. I'd be all for the Banks Derringer when it does go on sale. Still no luck finding a CAI either. I've tried K&N , Airaid, and Google , and came up with nothing.
  15. The US has a offer running through August 3rd, but I sure hope we get that deal! My 2020 will arrive in August. Right now there is only a $5k USD option.
  16. I cannot seem to find anything for the 2020 3.0L LM2 Duramax. I'm interested in a CAI to start, but I can't even find that. I'd love a tune on it too but even then, there is nothing available. Any luck finding anything? Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  17. I would just stick with Google Maps. It's free and accurate. Unless of course you enjoy the system GPS, then absolutely go for it. Some folks enjoy the system GPS better.
  18. Get some UV leak detector and have a look around. If its your evaporator (unlikely) then you have a $2k repair. If it is just a AC line or a Schrader valve, it'll be $300-$500. You can buy recharge refrigerant that has UV fluid in it and can rent a leak detector tool from Autozone.
  19. Go for the GTR Ultra Series 2 or the Morimoto 2.0, these are made of better quality hand components than the Opt7s, and will last much longer.
  20. stock 4x4, or z71, or trail boss will handle sand totally fine. the lifted truck you're looking at is going to get terrible MPG and is not practical for hauling and towing. its good for looking at and off road use. just not practical as a daily driver or street use. maintenance is a huge pain when they are lifted like that. want to replace a battery? get a ladder. want to check the fluid levels? get a ladder. go for the stock truck
  21. Simple solution, perform the chalk test. Other solutions - Use the recommended tire pressure on your drivers side door sill. Or, contact your tire manufacturer for their recommended tire pressure.
  22. it's for aerodynamics. you might see a small reduction in MPG once removed
  23. Are you sure you are plugged into the low side? Your low side PSI should be between 30-35 PSI. It's likely not turning on if the low side pressure is that high. Next thing to check would be Schrader valves with leak detector.
  24. It'll help more when you in the city, and in stop-n-go traffic situations. On the highway, not really needed. Either way, on or off, your truck will do just fine. You are well under the tow limit, and your transmission will not have any issues. Sire, its going to run little warmer than normal, but its not going to hurt anything. Bottom line is, no worries. Enjoy the trip!
