Yup, happens all the time on older cars/trucks in my neck of the woods. If the vehicle is new I wouldn't hesitate using the petcock. Last one I did on a old Toyota...off to the store to find something to fit a 15yr old car....head gaskets were gone 40k prior she was a mixing oil and starting hit my purse.

I have seen the UPR and they look decent quick connect hoses etc. I have Elite and Zero issues 120K miles I have been consistent with 20fl year so more than a 1/2 gallon of liquid lifetime.

I would assume the valve covers are same or slight iterations of Ecotec3 blocks. They are good and help tremendously along with the cornucopia of Plenum on in Air Intake side. You know the crazy black contraption that dang nears spans the whole engine bay now? At least the L83,L84 & L86,L878 did. Not sure about the L8T. I have owned previous GDI's and have had issues mostly relating to PCV. If your going to use as a Work truck and simply don't care because your going to be getting another in 4-5yrs I would simply do nothing. If your planning on long term ownership then I would be using a "Catch Can" and maintaining a semi strict diet of BG Products along with Severe Maintenance Schedule. I am sure GM knew exactly what they had with the 6.0L as the other MFG'S couldn't hold a candle to it from Initial cost, lifetime cost, durability etc. I am jealous of the engine you have and I personally don't change much from stock on my vehicles but I would be putting "Catch Can" mainly for fuel dilution.

Some like Moogs have a grease relief valve you pump until out she comes! IDK, I used MOOG on everything before and they seem to be getting cheaper and OEM'S seem better. If yours don't have relief valve and after 3qty pumps nothing oozing out the bottom around stud/Bushing interface YOUR DONE! Also, my experience has shown to USE OEM GREASE and nothing else don't mix/match cause the greases don't always mix readily. THE AC DELCO Chasis Grease is 100% excellent crap and it's kinda not cheap....but I don't stray from it. When I am done I always clean up Boot nicely and LISTEN Carefully now....apply a thin layer/coat of same grease on boot surface. It will aid in water repelling and Oxygen eating away the boot. I am real particular with boot conditioning. This will never fail ya until you hit the 8" deep Chicago style pothole and well your tie rod is going to be taking to the woodshed!

The Temp sensor is attached to the wiring harness on underside of your transmission. The 2015-2016's had a string of Bad ones made in Mexico.

Yup, I would agree the whole driving dynamics is is extremely good on the T1's which I have drove. Then I get in my saddle and I am reminded by the soundness the easiest to use interior and durable quality materials thinking this is 4+ year old truck. PLUS and I mean PLUS the seats in my SLT are just pure comfort/cushion and I can't get any position comfortable in a T1? So the K2 just fits me like a glove I am scared to loose it! My only choice will be to drop L86 and 10speed in it when this one wears out....I guess that combo will do? LOL

Not familiar with that p/n BG has excellent products I use them myself.

Good to see Ol Grumps has come to see the light of BG products! Been recommending ya'all use those for years especially on GDI'S. Their new double size can for top end cleaning is the BEST there is and that is what you want. Many shops not familiar with it but it's taking the place of 3 part cleaner. Remember GDI'S brought me to BG not the other way around....live and learn.

As with all mfg's they put about 40.00 dollars worth of tires on new vehicles for high volume sellers. As for all comparable bottom tier OEM tires...Goodyears are just absolute junk!
