    you need these 2 tools which you can buy from a dealer ,,,i doubt a parts store will have a supplier ,,the spring is compressed pretty good ,,,,,i used 2 people and 2 screwdrivers to compress it to remove the clip ,,,,,or spend an hr labour (approx) at a garage and have them locktite the loose bolts back in for you

    loose the upper ball joint,let the knuckle tilt however it wants ,(it will lean outward ),,,loose the nut and rethread it 2 turns (just to stop the knuckle from falling off when ball joint lets go) now look below the lower control arm by the ball joint where it goes into the knuckle ,rotate the knuckle so its on the hammer side ,that part of the knuckle is what you need to nail with a hammer ,it will shock the ball joint out of the knuckle, its hard to explain actually lol

    fyi ,,,service 4wd doesnt mean the levels in the t case,it means a DTC is in the TCCM to be diagnosed

    fuel lines cross over at the rear of the tranny and go up the middle of the transmission so ,not near the exh at all actually

    the code has to diagnosed properly as its obviously not the sensors ,,you have a scanner ?

    a salesman usual haunt is the service dept for people having issues as yours and a loaner is close to a deal as ever lol,,,,, i took a sales course once for giggles and ya ,,,they go there for a sale
