spikesputnik Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Does anyone know if OEM lettering, as on the tail gate of a Chevy, are sold individually through any online retailers? I'd just as soon have "CHEVY", only, on my tailgate, but in order to do that I'd have to buy Cheyenne and Silverado to get the font/size correct. And for $50! I've seen some aftermarket stuff, but it wasn't quite OEM appearing. Denuding aficionados flame on, but bring a link.
nbscanuck Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Talk to sign shops. They could make anything you want (read custom)
plowking Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 To help get the lettering straight,my bodyshop got the silverado letters from GM, they came mounted on a clear tape like substance. They put the lettering on the tailgate and pulled the covering off the front, letters are spaced even and not crooked. Just a thought that might help you to mount your individual letters. Decals on my tractor come the same way. plowking
Wasax3 Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I just saw at VIP auto parts they sell individual chrome letters for $.99 ea.
SparkySparks Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I know this is an older post but I'm still trying to find an OE match after marked lettering.
spikesputnik Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 Sparkysparks-FWIW, I gave up and bought an OEM Cheyenne, which fit the bill for me.
bigfish1047 Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Try Here decalking.com has some licensed GM stuff, not on production trucks
