Est Connector

I have a 94 K1500 with a 5.7L TBI. My problem is I cannot set the timing on my truck. I know you have to disconnect the EST connector to set the tming. When I re-connect the EST connector, the timing does not change. I have replaced the pick-up coil, distributor control module and the ignition control module. The problem persists. Now what?

Does the SES light work? If not fix it first the code is an important diagnostic tool. The knock sensor not working will set a code and retard timing.

+1 Could be a knock sensor issue. I'd check to see what codes are coming up.
