Yo

I added the data information center on my 2008 Sierra and used an excellent forum thread to walk me through it. I can't seem to find that thread. My friend who has a 2007 Silverado would like to make the same upgrade. The thread covered every possible reason not to make the upgrade and would like to give my friend good advice. Can anyone point me in the right direct? I tried the search feature and didn't get what I wanted.

A thread of people saying not to get the DIC buttons? I don't think there are any downsides. Tons of people on here have installed it. You get access to all kinds of information you would normally be without.

Just got mine updated today. I can't think of any reasons why anyone would not want to do this. Here is the thread you're looking for:

Sucks, I found out I only avg 12.3 mpg so far. Mostly city driving. I hope it'll improve with more mileage. Anyone needs an old dash piece?

there are no downsides to the dic mod. I did mine and use the information everyday.

i had it on my old truck (07 obs) and loved it. i dont have it in my 06 now and i miss it so much.
