Pipe Retaining P Clips

Recommended Posts

So I got my new Hayden 679 cooler today, unfortunately the mounting kit was out of stock for 2 weeks or something. So does anyone know where to get some of those clips? Thanks in advance.

Oh ya, I tried Pep Boys and Kragen and I came up empty. I know I've seen them in stores before, but now I can't even begin to remember where. Thanks.

That would be called an adel clamp...you might try one of your local home improvement stores since your auto parts stores don't seem to carry them.....although that's normally where you would find them.

That may be where I've seen them. Good to know the real name of things like this. I've see pipe retaining P clips, norma clips, and a few others.

What size do you need? The place I work is full of them. (aircraft maintenance) Give some details on your cooler.....Do you already have one in front of the rad?

Saw them at Lowes yesterday.

In those specialty drawers in the nut/bolt isle.

Ditto. My local Lowe's keeps a very nice assortment of stuff like this. And I saw those specifically.

This morning I went to Lowes and found them in those specialty bolt drawers.

I installed the Hayden 679 cooler, truck used to have the factory auxiliary cooler, but I didn't like it's ability to keep the tranny running cool enough.

Thanks for the help.

What if any kind of modification to the factory lines had to be done?Have you seen a temp drop?

I had to do no modifications, just unclip the old cooler and push the hoses onto the line.

I've seen about a 20 degree drop down to 160-170.

Here is the picture I used for reference http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=838567 I had to put my cooler behind the A-frame looking support, between it and the condensor. There wasn't enough room between the grill support and that A-frame for the cooler.
