SoUptheEXTREME Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I'm looking to pick up a used (very low mileage) Sierra. The previous owner has debadged the truck. (sides / tailgate) I really wish he wouldn't have as I happen to like the factory badges. Anyway, how much of a process is it to get it looking factory badged again? I know I can reorder the badges but I only ask because I notice each emblem is an individual letter, I can't imagine being able to perfectly line and space each one without it looking off...
C. Charles Hahn Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 When you order new badges, they come on a mounting tape strip that spaces the letters for you. Just peel off the backing on the adhesive, apply the badge, then take the alignment strip.

Spurshot Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 AH HA! First signs of the style changing and the badges becoming desireable!
Zembonez Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I can't imagine anybody wanting to put badges on! It's just beyond comprehension.
Spurshot Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Soon GM will stop badging trucks, after having studied the issue for 10-15 yrs, and to save production costs in these times. Then the tide will shift. Everyone will be clammering for badges. Badges will be collectable. Customers will be yelling; "WHERE'S MY STINKING BADGES?"
C. Charles Hahn Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Anyone else here thinking maybe this noob bought daddy's truck? I think he'd die if he saw pics of his old truck with badges back on it
bemr Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I can't imagine anybody wanting to put badges on! It's just beyond comprehension. Next will be re-enabling AFM

dansk Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 If you really like badging, go buy a Dodge. did you ever notice how many things they list about the truck on the tailgate? You almost don't need a build sheet!
Ghostwhite Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I havent decided on removing the side silverado badges yet but the tailgate has to be cleaned up.
bubba33 Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 OMG did you come to the right place to get badges. There are plenty of morons on here that have badges just sitting in there garage. Damn did I say that outloud. Now I am going to hide from the usall suspects.
Spurshot Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Somewhere in the back 40 acres at Daddy's place, there's grave full of stinking badges.
jvmorgan Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I bet Daddy is now buying all the replacement badges off of ebay after selling his truck so that he can create a shortage of badges and he will have them all and not share Go all out and put some Texas Edition badges on there.
Zembonez Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 OMG did you come to the right place to get badges. There are plenty of morons on here that don't realize how ugly badges are. Damn did I say that outloud. Now I am going to hide from the usall suspects. FIXED that for ya!
