6.0 Fuel Pump Pressure

I have just fitted a 2005 silverado vortec 6.0 to my 1991 c2500 silverado, as it was a throttle body injected motor previously i now need a high pressure fuel pump to run it, what pressure is needed for this motor??

 

what aftermarket fuel pump is recommended to use??

60 PSI is required. The pump will push more than that. Its the FPR(Fuel pressure Regulator) that will adjust it.

 

Do you want an in-tank or external pump? Internal, I'd go with the GM OEM. The sender,pump, etc are all there. If external, BG or Aeromotive. The '05s are a returnless style.

What did you do computer wise to make the engine work in a GMT400 series truck?

What did you do computer wise to make the engine work in a GMT400 series truck?

 

 

i am usig the complete computer from the truck the motor was removed from, have had to remove all the vehicle anti theft systems from the computer also, not running a body control module at all, was quite an easy conversion so far
