How Much For Your Fog Light Install?

Recommended Posts

I got a 09 Sierra and came with alot but not with foglights. So I'm getting some put in. For all of those out there who had some installed after purchase I wanted to know about how much they charged labor and all to put them in.

I got a quote from a shop we do business with all the time and they gave me a quote of 335 PLUS the labor. Just wanting to get a idea of what it ran everyone else?

how much is labor? was it pre-wired for fogs or did it just not come wit them? in that case, you'd need new dash components, fuses, relays, valences, etc.---so that might not be a bad price on the components. the labor is what's going to kill you.

$380 installed for OEM foglight kit, installed by the dealer. it was part of the deal when i was negotiating my truck, so i'm not sure if this is typical pricing or a price the salesman threw out to nudge a potential buyer.

he'll need a new headlight switch, wiring, and relays. that's all. all of that is included in the OEM 'foglight kit'. i believe parts were most of the cost in my case.

I mean it didn't come with them. I got under the truck and looked the other day and I'm pretty sure I'm not wired for them..... I'm pretty sure. I'm drunk so the memory isn't so hot. I'd have to look int the morning....

Nope not wired for them. But they haven't looked at the truck either. I just told them to give me a quote... Labor is going to destroy me though..

on mine it was not a huge job. i had a technician look at the truck before they started work and he said my truck was not pre-wired either. turns out after they started the work and got into it all the wiring was there. all they had to do was replace the headlight switch (60 sec job), mount the lights, and i *think*add a relay. FYI, the OEM foglights are not bright at all. if you can live with a non OEM switch in your dash, you can buy a much better aftermarket kit and just install them yourself. it's a very easy job.
