I-simple Ipod Kit Installed

First off i got to say ..."wow " this did not need to be as hard as it was, mind you i have a SD and everything i have put on this truck has been a pain in the ass. Since my truck has the factory 6 disc changer at the console and a cd/cass dinosaur in the dash, the kit was a little had to find. However i did get ahold of crutchfeild and they helped me out.

The install was a mess i keept gettign a buzzing noise in the factory radio, almost as if the cd player was looking for a cd or trying to load one. After lots of re-checking my wiring i had found that the wiring was crosed. So for technical referance the power wire on the gm radio wich has cd/cass is the orange wire on the far right of the connector, the ground is the black wire in the far left of the connector in the upper position.

now everything works and is good, steering wheel controls, onstar, everythign. im just not sure i like the sound quality of the ipod over a cd maybe i can change the file format of download.

just figured i would put this out there in case anyone else had ran into the same issue.

I installed one of these in my G35...Peripheral admits the sound quality is not the same as CD. It is not related to the file format, it is simply the way they send the signal to the radio. CDs have much better dynamic range and better frequency response.
