Interior Paint Colors

I have a replacement A-pillar coming (with dual gauge pods) and it's black. Well I've been trying for a while now to find a good source of paint to try to match the current A-pillars. I have the light tan color. I went to Kragen and they sell Dupont and Krylon paint, no paint chip samples or anything. I'm not going to try to match to the color on the cap since I know that won't be right. I've heard that SEM is good but their color samples online don't seem to match at all.

 

I went to one site that sells interior paints, some diesel site if I remember correctly, they only seemed to have darker colors. Latemodel Restoration Supply has paint listed by the GM code but only up to 06 and my numbers don't seem to match.

 

Has anyone found a paint that works well and matches the light tan upper interior? Thanks.

Always hit the body shop supply stores. They can pull paint codes (exterior and interior) and mix you a can for about $35. I have always had really good results using the body stores.

Unfortunately I'm in Southern California. I went to the body shop and a few auto part stores (not chain stores) and no one could tell me where to get some matching paint, or where any auto body supply stores are.

 

I guess I'll keep looking.

Wow...that surprises me. I was B&R in SoCal. I used to go to a place in East LA off 3rd street. That's where all the low rider guys went to get their stuff. They used to have paint booths you could rent also...ideal hook up. Do all the prep at home, trailer it in, shoot it, let it dry for a little, then trailer it back home. AWESOME!
