Center Console Swap?

The center console in my truck (ltz) has the large black rubber bin with the slip in cup holder. I was noticing the other day that my friends Suburban has the same console but with cup holder and small storage compatment with the flip-top lids (similar to the Sierra). I like the covered storage and cup holder better than what I have. The Suburban part is woodgrain like my dash trim too so it would match the interior. Has anyone swapped the Silvy console for the Suburban? Are they they an exact fit/match?

It should be an exact fit... all GMT900 consoles are the same size.

As best I can tell the Sierra has the same as the Suburban only with the brushed mettallic finish.
