Harmonic Balancer On95 Gmc

can you change out a front crankshaft oil seal on a 95 gmc sierra 5.7b without removing the water pump. will i need a special puller?

No I don't think you would have to remove the water pump. I can't say that I've ever done without the water pump being off already for other reasons. You might find it easier to do after pulling the pump. The pump would be the simplest part. You'll need a puller for the harmonic balancer as well as an installer. Don't just pound it back on with a hammer.
