Engine Miss

hey everyone. I have a 2000 Sierra 1500 with the 6 cylinder. I recently did a tune-up including new spark plugs, wires, rotor, and cap. After installing the new parts, I have a miss. It's not bad enough to register on the computer, but it is especially noticeable at idle. Any suggestions as to where i should start? thanks.

You had a miss before?

actually the whole situation is strange. the truck died on the highway one day due to a clogged fuel filter. after i replaced that the truck was still running rough. i did the tune up and now i still have this miss.

If the fuel filter was clogged bad enough to make it die while running down the highway...you may have some trash in one of your injectors.

Just throwing that out there for consideration...

Try running a can of Seafoam or Techron through the gas tank. Put it in with a half tank, run it down low for best results.

What kind of plugs did you put in, and what is the gap?

It may also be that the fuel pump is weak and not putting out enough fuel pressure to the system. Clogged injectors could be an issue as well.
