Would Truck Guys Drive A

if given the chance to??

I was on a mission to find a different car for my sister. She is turning in a leased 07 Altima in a few weeks.

Since I work at the GM store, I thought she would go bonkers for a CTS.

I drove one home to snap some pics of it, so I could send her the pics. Damn...I was SOOO comfy, I didn't even want to get out of the car !! Talk about a smooth impression, and agressive styling...

Wasn't too expensive either...it is in the same league as our trucks. She could have bought it, with only $5000 down, for $494 a month at zero percent.

Well, turns out she actually declined, and intends to stay with a Nissan product ( :D ) It's her choice, but I guarantee this CTS blows away any Nissan stuff.

SINCE she has declined, well, we (the store) still have the CTS in stock :)

Right now, for a $44xxx car, my buy figure is at $36xxx. Not low enough, IMO

White Diamond, AWD, Roof, Leather

CTS...whatchya think guys?? Would you guys daily drive one??

Well I'm going to go against everyone else and say....YES! I would drive a new CTS as a "daily driver" The new CTS's are very nice rides,I would pit them up against any other luxury car in that market, they have come a long way from the Catera they use to be!! :)

That being said....I would still have to keep my truck though,I ain't getting rid of my truck for no car!!! :D

And as oldschool said....It would be awesome if it was a V!!!!

Oh Stealth man....Does it have the direct injected V6? Thats the way to go with the 304hp!!!

YES. My daily driver is a 95 STS with about 180,000 miles on it. I've had my '07 Crew Cab LTZ 4x4 for two years now and just hit 10,000 miles. I drive the Caddy everyday to keep miles off the truck and to keep people from banging it up in the aprking lot

Test drove a CTS last year, that car rocks!!! Even with the v-6 it had at the time it was great! The wife even enjoyed throwing it through a corner at 40 mph. Ended up with the SRX though for the all wheel drive and it sits up higher.

NO DON'T!! Stay away from Caddy passenger cars. I owned a 2001 STS for just over 3 years and it was the biggest piece of SHIT I have ever owned. At 43,000 miles it had gone through 3 sets of front brakes, one set of front rotors, one front strut, 2 rear shocks ($600 a pop), one head gasket and had the wrost case of torqe steer of any front wheel drive car I have even owned. I have also heard a lot of horror stories about the CTS line.

I've owned several Lexus passenger cars ranging from entry level all the way up to $70,xxx and have never experience such catastrophic failure. I have since vowed to never own a Cadillac passenger car again. Cadillac passenger cars do not hold a candle to Lexus fit and finish, Caddy's don't even come close to product quality.

Cadillac has really stepped up in quality since 2001. I'll agree the mid 90s-early 2000's weren't exactly precision quality, but the new ones are impressive.
