Broken Rear Fold Down Cupholder

I have a 02 Sierra 1500 HD 6.0 with the center console that has a broken rear fold down cup holder. How does it supposed to work, mine just folds down and doesn't catch. Anyone know of how to fix or replace.

Simple....replace the little plastic catch.

Thanks for the pic Ray. Mine stays up ok but when you fold it down, it folds too far and lays on the floor instead of sticking straight out. How does yours do? Rusty

Well first of all Ray didn't post those pics .....secondly maybe I misunderstood what you guys were asking. I'll have to go and look at mine to see what keeps it horizontal once it's in the down position.

There are two plastic pieces (one on each side) that keep the drink holder horizontal. They can actually be pushed in to lower the drink holder so that you can remove it. Odds are these pieces have been broken over the years or they have been compressed and won't extend back to normal. My money is on broken and kids in the rear seat . If that's the case your only option is to replace the rear drink holder.
