05 6.0 Fuel Preasure Regulator

Good day to all:

I have a code p0332 that translates I believe to rear knock sensor. One of the items that this code suggests checking is the fuel pressure regulator. From what I gather from old posts and after (in vain) trying to find the FPR, this truck uses a tank mounted FPR that is inexcessable. Can anyone confirm this, or is there a way to to check the FPR without dropping the tank. I have read all the posts on the knock sensor/ replacement etc. and am trying to avoid that if at all possible. Thanks for the help 05 1500hd 6.0 2wd crew Ken

Take your fuel pressure readings at the engine. Then compare them to specs. That should tell you if your FPR is acting up.

Correct. There is a test port on the rail.
