I Need Help With My Speedo Asap

I was driving and saw my speedo was not reading right and I pulled over and stopped and turned it of and back on and still is not right. With it stopped and in park the speedo is sitting 22 mph so what is going on with it can anyone help me

03-04 M/Y's are covered by a cluster extended warranty for 70K best to see your dealer first.

If you are over on miles and out of warranty, its the stepper motor. You can get them on ebay. You will have to dissemble the cluster and solder it in. Or there are people on e-bay that will replace them for you if you send them your cluster.

 

Or you can get a cluster from e-bay. The miles are kept in the cluster only and not in the computer so you can get the cluster reprogrammed with the correct miles.

Ok cool thanks since I will have it out where can I get some LED lights for the backlight. Has anyone do this mod if so how hard was it to do and do you have any pics of it at night

The lights are soldered in. I seem to remember some one had a how to do led lights on this forum but I can't remember where.
