No 3-4 After Corvette Servo Install

Please Help!!!!

2006 Silverado with 5.3 and 4L60E 148,000 mi

I know its alot of miles but the tranny shifted with no problems and truck runs great. I decided to perform the corvetter servo swap for the quicker shift.

The first attempt was shot! Im almost positive I installed and sealed the servo with the spring (between casting and piston) off. I drove the truck for about a mile and immediatley realized the slip shift in all gears.

The second attempt of the installation went without a hitch. I now have the great 1-2 and 2-3 firm shift. It feels great. Problem is, the transmission no longer shifts into 4th gear!!!!!!!!!!!! What is going on???

Could it be the slipping test drive after my first attempt of the install? Could I have cooked something?

Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated. I am already missing my truck!!!!

I know a guy who forgot to put the 4th hold servo in altogether. You might check around and see if you have one lying around :jester: .

If not, it's likely you have yours in backwards as mentioned above.

This happened to me. When I changed my servo I lost 3-4. The tranny was shot and changing the servo was the straw that broke the camel's back. Not saying yours is done, but it is possible. Check all of your seals and make sure they are on properly.

I did mine two weeks ago when I first put it in I cut the 4 servo oring.Took it all back apart got new o-ring and put it back together, now it shifts good and sometimes it shifts like I never put the corvette servo in.It also doesn't want to downshift like it did before.Any thoughts what my be going on?

Thanks

Thanks guys, for all the input. I was finally able to take some time and pull the servo cover off to inspect. I was concerned at first when I realized I had in fact, installed the assembly correctly. Then i realized that the split Oring on the 4rth apply piston was missing. I found the o-ring in the servo housing. Apparently the fourth apply psiton must be inserted into the servo cover first to keep the o-ring in place, then the cover can be installed. i probably deserve to be called a dumbass!!!!

Anyway, the truck shifts perfectly and I am very pleased with the quick shift. I evaded disaster this time!

Thanks again for all your help.
