I have a few questions.>>>>

#1.) I want 1 set of new wheels that will stay on my vehicle year round.....what is the best finish for year round use?

#2.) I am considering the Mamba M3 wheel which is Glossy Black and polished aluminum (I believe, I may be wrong)and another wheel which is a chrome wheel from Ultra, what makes the mamba's good for winter or all year round and how is chrome if you rinse them regularly?

I know little about finishes any info greatly appreciated.

Thank in advance.

I like those AR Teflon wheels too.

I like the Predator but it is just going to stick out more than I want with the offset.

How is chrome if you rinse them regularly.

I am leaning to chrome.

It depends to a great extent on where you live. I reside in upstate NY and the winters are harsh up here. The calcium they use to de-ice destroys brake rotors and can be pretty rough on wheels. I thought I had the answer when I put a set of AR cast aluminum wheels on a previous truck. The clear coat didn't hold up and after only one winter there was pitting on two of the wheels. You would think after market wheels would hold up as good or better than factory. You would think it, but that is often not the case. Your doing the right thing by asking the question and researching. The only info I can provide is that in my climate I have not found any after market wheel that holds up. That doesn't mean they don't exist just that I haven't been lucky or wise in my attempts. I ended up keeping the factory wheels for winter use and put the "purrrty" ones on during the warm months. Teflon might be the right choice for you as for durability but it sounds like you want a bit of the bright stuff. Good luck with your search and if you find something that works post up.

I use a set of "factory take off" chromed steel wheels. I got them for $100. The chemicals are harsh on the finish but who cares all they need to do is hold air and my blizzaks.
