Wrangler Mtr's

I just put a set on mine and wondered if anyone here runs them? I'm usually not a big fan of Goodyear but I got a price I couldn't pass up.

I put a set of them on a truck I gave to my dad.. they are 10 ply, supposed to be reinfoced with kevlar, yadda yadda...

 

After hauling and towiing nothing with this truck, the freeking sidewall came outta one of the tires, and it had better than 2/3 tread left..

 

I will buy no more goodyears.. I have been running a set of dayton timberline MT's on my ECSB, and they wear great, and clean themselves great.

been running goodyear mtr's for 2 years and 40,000 klm with no prob. If the tread keeps wearing like it has been im sure i will get 100,000 klm before i get a chance to try there new mtr design. They have got a little louder on highway with wear but not any more the i expected with a mtr. love them and unless a side walls blows out will not change them.

Dayton tires are Firestone/Bridgestone. They've been part of Firestone since about the early sixties. Some of the best tires I've owned were Firestone.

I got them for $140 each so I hope they do good.

It's kind of a coincidence I never heard of them before this thread, and now they're puttin them on the new ZR2 concept

The new MTR from Goodyear is a stupid design with that close tread pattern on one part of the tire... I don't get it. The rest of the tire looks good and has a nice sidewall/rest of the tread patter. Its just that one strip...
