I have been searching the internet, comparing prices and such, looking for lifts for my 2000 GMC Sierra. I am not looking to do anything to drastic, 3"-4". Just to give it a little "bigger" look. But I don't know in my case if it is worth spending the extra money for a suspension lift. I know i do not like the gaps some body kits leave, and i do not want that. I also want to buy a kit that has everything there, and i will not need to order anything else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (And to be completely honest if anything I have said is completely wrong, i really know very limited when it comes to such things :dunno: )

well I think body lifts look bad, without a six lift. Turn your torsion bars up to level your truck out and that may be enough to give you the look you want. It makes a big diff. Look at pics on this site of other trucks, You may decide on a 6 in lift. I thought I just wanted a 3 in also, but I the look of 6 much better. Good luck

OK, yes I was considering turning the torsion bars, but again i heard that is does change some of the driving "abilities" (can't find the proper word), and I don't know, i know plenty of people do it. But then again, i really have no knowledge on this situation, hence why i am asking. So really all i know is from the research i have done and we all know what is out there, and some of the people that put things on the internet. And yes i have seen pics with the bars turned, and i do like the look, but do want something bigger. Thanks for the info. much appreciated!

If a body lift is done correctly, they do not look bad at all. If the bumpers are properly raised and aligned, gap guards are used, and you add some nice steps that mount to the body so that the frame is concealed they are not noticeable. Basically, don't half-a$$ the install and the truck will look good. My truck has a 3" body lift and the vast majority of people don't even know it's there.
