Slow Windows

slow slow windows on my 04 sierra, could it be the seals or the motors, i notice rubbing on window from seals though, sometimes it squeals too

sounds like the motors to me. Wouldn't roll up and down to much as it could get stuck. As a rule generally when on goes the rest aren't far behind it. Had to replace all 4 in my 99 crew cab.

Gentlemen,

Silicone spray in the window guides. Works for me about twice a year. Do the cheap stuff first.

It may be the seals cause the windows are hard to roll up and down on my truck, manual windows. Maybe I need to change the motor in my arm... Ha ha

Here is a trick I learned on windows in my other truck, do the windows roll up and down faster after it rains or you wash the vehicle? The rain / water seems to work like the silicone lubricant to help the windows move faster. Every time i wash or it rains the windows would move fast as new, so it must be the seals that are pushing against the window slowing it down. So im not saying put water inside the door, but to check the window out after you wash or it rains and see if it moves a lot faster as it did for me.
