jasonlidtke Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 My original wiper motor on my 2004 silverado 1500 would not shut off, it would stay on intermediate speed. So I installed a new wiper motor. The good news is the wipers will now shut off and park, but only high setting works. No delay, intermediate and no window washer spray. So I thought maybe I got a bad replacement. Nope second replacement and same, only high speed working. Any one have a idea? Do I need to take it in to chevy so they can update the computer maybe?
Jsdirt Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Sounds like the multifunction switch. Not cheap or fun to replace, so I would check & double check all wiring to the motor first.
minibike132 Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Take off the cover from the old motor and the cover from the new motor. Make sure they look the same, sometimes there are contacts that need to be switched over.
