Recirc Hvac Door Actuator / Sticking

2003 Tahoe Tahoe - manual HVAC with Dual climate controls.

 

I figured out my problem I was having with continued airflow in the cabin no matter how I set the system.

 

The door behind the glovebox (recirc door) was not closing - so even if I pushed the button in it would not close the door to eliminate outside air.

 

I got it freed up using a spring hook, and it seems to open and close as it should.. Then when I let the truck sit for a while it seems go to back to the old ways and wont work again, but if I manually "Help" it move it will work again for another 100x's while I sit there and test it.

 

Thoughts??
